Kevin Lodewyk, MD is a licensed, board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery. Additionally, he also completed additional training with a fellowship in Glaucoma care and surgery.


Dr. Lodewyk is able to provide state of the art glaucoma care in respect to laser treatment, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (completed at the same time as cataract surgery), and stand-alone glaucoma surgery for all stages of disease. He also provides medical and procedural care for dry eye disease and intraocular injections for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, among other retinal conditions.


Most importantly, Dr. Lodewyk takes pride in providing patient-centered care which will always put the patient first and involve you in every decision in your treatment.


Education

Dr. Kevin Lodewyk is a Michigan native, born and raised in Bay City. He completed his undergraduate schooling at Kalamazoo College, and went on to Medical School at Wayne State University, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Lodewyk was an ophthalmology resident at Wake Forest University in North Carolina and then decided to complete extra training in the field of Glaucoma with a fellowship from Vanderbilt University.

Returning to the great state of Michigan with his wife and two sons, Dr. Lodewyk is now thrilled to call Northern Michigan home. As a past All-American swimmer, he loves getting in the pool with his boys and spending all his extra time playing Dad.


He looks forward to continuing to serve the greater Northern Michigan area for many years to come!
